ONS-SlatedWorld-V2

Post by Kentaro »

TurboK made an edit of SlatedWorld, correcting all known bugs and issues of the map.
The gameplay is nearly the same as previous version.
You can find it here.

Labo, you should put it online, instead of the current version. ;)

Turbo, i saw you've joined the forum, so can i wonder why you chose to remove the railgun tank?

The railgun tank was never on the version I edited.

Thanks for your suggestion, we do find the new vehicles (Banshee & Cerberus) rather problematic, though:

Banshee: Instead of the standard, dual Cicada rockets, the pilot gets single shot, slightly faster rockets that deplete from a starting max of 20 and slowly replenish. Passenger gets the ricocheting dual plasmas that on alt can drain energy or heal from up close. Trouble is, that makes the passenger's contributions to the survival of the flyer entirely pointless in a dogfight and renders the craft even less protected when it gets enemy avrils coming at it. Furthermore, the Banshee looks almost identical to its stock dependant, the Cicada. Different vehicles should look differently, though. Basically, your fighting chances are better in a Cicada and you can only realize you're not in one after you get in.

Cerberus: Fast, fortified, all 3 seats armed, homing rockets, plasma shots and 3 hitscans in total (zooming is done with the arrow keys :| ), the main attraction being the charger-based twinbeams delivering a max damage of 300hp per shot. It adversely impacts air-vs-AA balance.
