Ok, time to come out.

As you may already know, I study lirique singing (baroque singing, to be precise) and I sing in some local choirs.

This is a video took from one opera where we played as the stage choir. It was a small production in a little town theatre, made at the end of the May of this year.

The opera is the "Re Enzo" (King Enzo) by Ottorino Respighi (about 1904), we are playing the "choir of the guards".

The guy entering with a shield at 00:40 (the one with the huge forehead xD), it's me.

This opera is not baroque, is from the '900 so it's a (more typical) italian lirique opera. But yes, it's about Enzo of Sardinia.

The opera was composed by Respighi, to be played at the year recital of the music school of Bologna of that time (about 1904) by the students of the music school (and wow, that was a great age indeed). It was about the capture of King Enzo of Sardinia and his detention as an hostage in Bologna, so it's about a time when Bologna had some glorious history.
But it's a humorous opera, so it's more about King Enzo being loved by the women of Bologna, and "stealing" them from their husbands while he escapes from the city xD

The opera was played just one single time in 1904, for will of Respighi itself (and for unknown reasons), so it was forgotten... Until 2004, when the director Luigi Pagliarini (the one you see in the video) rediscovered it and played it again with the students of the music school of Bologna, about one hundred years later ;) And then, again this year (2014, 110 years later).

P.S.: joining the battle with the shield, ALWAYS deserves some respect :D

This opera can't be baroque in many aspects. First it is from the 1900s while baroque dominated in the 17th and 18th century. Also baroque opera preferred ancient themes, such as ancient history, mythology etc. and as I have seen it doesn't have to do with any of them. Feel free to correct me, because I don't speak Italian fluently. :)
