Well, we can get a rough idea for that from the recommended requirements for UE4.

Desktop PC or Mac
Windows 7 64-bit or Mac OS X 10.9.2 or later
Quad-core Intel or AMD processor, 2.5 GHz or faster
NVIDIA GeForce 470 GTX or AMD Radeon 6870 HD series card or higher
8 GB RAM

On the stream they said it'd be at least a year or so until they get these things down for sure, I believe.

That's only the alpha. Things can change as they develop the game. They are aiming for recreating the UT99's gameplay, mainly. Which means no double jumb (IIRC UT99 didn't have), no dodge jump. The Shield Gun will probably be gone and replaced with the Impact Hammer. The Impact Hammer can't block enemy fire, but it will offer much more efficient boost to dodge or jump if used properly as far as I have heard.

I don't think it'll change too much for us, just need the right type of maps.

That's not the reason for the double/dodge jump being gone.

Double jump was removed because it seemingly didn't provide any benefit. It was perceived as "being used all the time anyway", so the single jump could be called useless and therefore redundant. Instead of including double jump, they increased the single jump height. It even prompted mappers to make jumps high enough to always require double jump and therefore cause increased vertical scale. Not to mention, double jump requires e.g. higher door frames and corridor ceilings so you don't constantly hit your head on them.

Dodge jump was removed because it required maps to be scaled up horizontally in certain cases. Yes, it does allow faster traveling, but it also causes mappers to make gaps between two ledges larger if they should not be easily crossable. Instead, other means of increasing travel speed are being tested. Also there are essentially unlimited wall-dodges and other features being tested.

The game is not actually in alpha stage yet, so Epic are still experimenting with everything. Any claims that they are aiming specifically for one of the three-and-a-half previous movement or weapon schemes is complete and utter bullshit. Nothing is set in stone yet, new ideas are still being considered, and what is proven to not be effective will be removed again. However, nobody found convincing reasons (and proved them with a movement prototype and gameplay videos) that double jump or dodge jump could provide benefits that outweigh their problematic side effects on map scale.

[edit]
BTW: TheWhiteDragon reported from last weekend's UT/Epic community event that Epic is still looking at the movement and not really at the weapons yet. That's another sign at how early in development the game still is. You should never forget that this is the first time a community can witness the entire game development process from start to finish. Usually a game developer won't announce even the development itself before being a least a few months or even years into it. UT4 development has been going on for only about four months so far.
