We're still working on the certificate. I'm not sure why we suddenly have a Let's Encrypt one. Maybe our host made a change. The guy who did the update and I talked a bit about adding one from Let's Encrypt, but he basically told me I should contact the host (and we most likely are still unable to get one ourselves). So that can only be a change from our host's side.
I'm going to post here or in the "server down" topic once the main redirect is back. I wanted to clarify some things with Heinzi first and I was home late several nights in a row, so I haven't gotten to it yet, sorry. Most likely it will be back this weekend. If you have any files (like older map edits) you would like to put on the redirect for posterity's sake, please let me know.
Edit: Our certificate should work again. Thanks to Wid, who fixed it.
Pegasus wrote: ↑Thu 29. Aug 2019, 22:43Probably should be asking this on the other thread, but eh: any ETA on the main redirect making a comeback yet?
Bit curious now: Why do you ask? Any problems with the current redirect server?
Our current temporary redirect server provides the same bandwidth 1 Gbit/s up/down like the former main redirect. So, as for performance, there should not be any significant difference.
Since I haven't been active for a while, my question wasn't the result of any kinda adverse, first-hand experience (for all I know, the emergency redirect may even be performing better than the previous one), but more the result of my habitual, daily/frequent checking of some sites in clusters, the UT one being a couple o' msg.boards, the redirect's URL and a few GameTracker pages one after another. It was the repeated 404's of the redirect and the dip in CEONSS' traffic over the past week that kept the issue and its potentially negative consequences on my mind, hence the concern.
I'll be on a pretty shitty connection for a few more days, but if there's a list of missing files that you think are keeping people off the server, a simple way to feed 'em to the new redirect, and there's no other active staffer who might have said files to put 'em up quicker, let me know the details and I'll try to upload what I can.

Thanks, Peg. I think the problem was that Heinzi already had a bunch of files on his temp redirect, so instead of reuploading everything, we went through all the folders/files looking for the missing ones...
I'm uploading my files right now and I will check back with the main server, but there may be some older map edits that I don't have, which we might want to use again in the future. I'll probably post in the admin section in the map roster thread with pleas for files then.
Our redirect is back. I uploaded all the files that I have, so hopefully it should load properly. But please post here with the file name if you have a long loading time.
A word of warning: the file Butze's probably taking about is CODWarSounds.uax and it's indeed missing from the redirect, but looking through my cache, there are two different CODWarSounds.uax resources, so here's the details on 'em.
The smaller and older CODWarSounds.uax is 2189KB/2.14MB in uncompressed size, has a cache name of 54621AEB4020F3CFD9696E865374B18F-1 and has been in my cache since late June 2010. It has 10 wav assets and was part of a download cluster that also included ONS-Coldsteel-KEdit1.ut2 and Alteredvehicles.u.
The slightly larger and newer CODWarSounds.uax is 2423KB/2.36MB uncompressed, its cache name is BBCFF1EA43A975F1BF1AA087A83E538F-1 and it's been seen at least as early as late June 2014. This one has 12 wav assets inside it (all the old ones, plus incoming01.wav and Weapons.HeavyMG.wav) and it was downloaded within a few seconds of a different Alteredvehicles.u (which, oddly, is slightly smaller than its older counterpart - 177KB vs 185KB) and ONS-AggressiveAlleys2011-[TC]-VKedit1I.ut2. I'm guessing this is the one that might be best to upload. Edit: this is the one that Miauz just provided above.
