Managed to save my 2nd install from 2006, it's that my old hdd severly crashed else... 
Got a backup on a backup disk and use a regfixer on a fresh install, it saves so much time and all your custom content, screenshots and such are intact.
So if you got some space left, just backup the whole map and regfix it on a fresh install when you moved it back
