this program i VERY detailed. i went to pegasus choose a random star, and it had a planet, i was like WTF? so i tried it again, went to andromeda choose again a random star blue regular class i think, and it had 3 planets, tho i dont understand how is possible a "hot ice" planet? anyway, what im saying, alot of work is in this program. good job. now if you could optimize it a bit. i have a 2.5ghz dual core processor and a 512mb graphix card, but the average fps inside a galaxy was 5-8, maybe my pc is crap. saying again. its awesome

If you mean "hot ice giant", this is because there exists a planet class "ice giant". This is a planet that consists by 90% of water and ammonia, but these substance can be only in rigid ice form deep inside the planet, not matter wich surface temperature it have. And "hot" here is a temperature class. Here the SpaceEngine planet class chart.
512 Mb is a minimum system requirements for now, and it seems will only grow in the future due to new abilities - procedural galaxies, vegetation, spaceships and cities models, etc.

Huh, I coulda sworn I've posted here before, but it seems I haven't actually, so first off, welcome SpaceEngy! As we've already seen here and elsewhere, you're a pretty talented creator and we're looking forward to whatever interesting works you might have to share with us in the future!
I'm bumping the thread today because of another project I just found out about, similar to yours but of a smaller scale and I thought it was cool enough to share with ppl who've already taken a liking to your own software here; also, to see what your impressions of it might be. It's called The Solar System: Explore Your Backyard and it's made by just one guy, a game designer and environmental artist who's worked on games like Dead Rising 2 and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Chris Albeluhn. It's still in beta (although, almost complete, as far as I can tell), so no download yet, but what's even cooler is, he made it with the Unreal Dev Kit as an educational tool. As I said, it's a smaller scale simulation in that it only covers our own solar system, but as you can see from the 6min YT vid preview, it boasts a vast amount of details and "views" of the celestial bodies it deals with to make it worth bothering with. Now, sure, it may not be able to directly compete with the scope and open-ended approach of your own proggy, but still, the more the merrier, right? Anyway, one more project for our stargazing aficionados to check out, if so inclined
