Have we had any Linkin Park yet?

How about Numb...

I really love Linkin Park! My fav karaoke song to sing is "New Devide". And "Shadow of the Day" is easy to play on the guitar....

"Iridescent" has really beautiful lyrics. A very uplifting song if you are down.

Ah ! i have been a big fan of LP since i was a kid :D

My favourite song by them is called Blackout, it's got all the elements for a good song, its really heavy at the start then goes really beautiful near the end !.

I don't like songs with screaming in it, but the ending really was beautiful.

Here's "Panic Switch" by Silversun Pickups. Love singing along to this one in the car. The chorus is really catchy.

And a song I bought yesterday. It's not a rock song, though.
Egoist - Extra Terrestrial Biological Entity

Not a bad ending, but they could have done better. Should have gone higher and put in a harmony, it would have had more impact.

Ahem. Folks? Not that getting into convos about specific bands or songs isn't good (talking about music is probably this thread's secondary goal, after all, next to posting it), but post something new to kick the can down the road too, will ya?

Now then, seeing how I read earlier today that Nov 30th is the 31st anniversary of the most successful album ever released, namely Michael Jackson's Thriller (1982, 42.4m), why not have a cursory glance at the indisputably successful and influential - and pretty controversial too, let's not forget - black-n-white king of pop from the days when both his songs and dance moves were the hottest thing in music?

Man, I'd completely forgotten just how long Thriller's music video is :/...

Bad; it really isn't.

Probably Weird Al Yankovic' favourite parody material.

I think this is for most ppl MJ's best song; certainly is for me. As for the movie it came from, well, that's a whole other bag of nuts...

What do you do when the music industry heads have moved on from you and decided mass consumption pap should now turn to boy bands and schoolgirl lookalike female teen sensations (mid 90s)? Sing about social inequality. I mean, deep down (very deep though) and from within your multimillion dollar Disneyland simulacrum of a mansion, you've always cared about that stuff, right? Eh, cynicism aside, still a good MJ song.

Right, I think five vids is plenty for one post. Still, like I said, just a cursory look when it comes to Jackson's massive body of work - and that's only in terms of his mainstream talents too, i.e. songwriting, performing, dancing and dance choreography. It's recently come to light that in his heyday, MJ also tried his hand at composing music, and once did so for a videogame too - Sonic the Hedgehog 3 - a suspicion long held among gamers, I might add :).
