A beautiful mountain run, but very heavy one. 17 hours of mountain marching in 24 hours allocated expedition.( only about 4 hours of sleep and the rest of time for meal and breaks). Weather conditions were perfect. We were a team of four members.

No Joe, I don't use a coat, I covered with my fluffy udder, keep me warm.
And yes, Check engine lights on all the time now, no idea why... All seems to be fine, I changed the oil engine 6 years ago...I don't understand what's the probl...
Now for real, not kidding, Check engine lights on all the time now, no idea why. Sometime is off, but not for long. When is on the car seems to have more power... Could be turbine the probl???

Check engine light means there is a trouble code for the ECU that handles the engine operation. All USA cars use OBDII protocol. I am sure EU cars do too.
Hope that translates.
There is a way to check it yourself I am sure I just do not know much about VW cars sorry. I have an app on my phone called Torque that can do it but you need a connection to the diagnostic port on your car. The ports under the dash some place. Some cars you can use a trick with key combos button pushes to get it to self diagnose for you.
Trouble codes are helpful for giving you a hint as to whats wrong.
If you say it has more power without the code I would guess that it is a "misfire" code. Meaning that one cylinder is not firing well or not firing all the time.

This is 100% true my friend...I don't care to much about cars.
I forgot to tell u, after 5 sec. engine starts, a message is show few seconds on screen, Abgas Werkstatt, like in that picture...
Thx so much for ur help.
One more thing, when that engine light is on the power car is higher and weird, fuel consumption is lower...5,8-6,1 with light on and 6,7-6,9 with light off...
