bad sign for a host to be down twice or more in less than 72 hours, I smell a virus infection on a full cluster
Hope they get their act together asap for you guys

Normal it's running fine.. had no bigger downtime in 6 years.. It's sitting right next to the big network node in frankfurt, so they should fix it permanetly soon, hopefully.

i guess you guys have asked for detailed fault reports on the hardware?
if your host is giving you BS reasons then they have an infection issue, pretty normal for companies to deny it these days so as other customers don't get spooked.

unlikely a virus issue. I've been working with server infra for years now and not even once heard of it. but what quite often happens, is a planned change which was supposed to be routine and no impact, to go very bad blowing up half a datacenter

so my bet is on infra problems

oh virus infections happen, I have to work with large clusters all the time for radar and aero modelling and quite a few hosts have been hit in the last 6 months, they simply refuse to publicise it
I'm not meaning viruses in the desktop PC sense, I referring to switch, interconnector and hardware sensor block firmware and ramdisks

yeah or some numbnuts makes a change that hasn't been tested properly, as happened at MDBA recently, we lost a weeks production because of that
