CEONSS Vs. OMNI (Round 3)

The third round of OMNI vs. CEONSS is now tentatively scheduled for October 20th at 3:00 PM EDT (19:00 UTC). It will be hosted on our server with mixed teams (each server will have a captain; the winner will be determined by which server's captain led his/her team to victory).

Hi everyone, we're getting quite a few signups!

With the number of signups we've received, we'll be going with a 6v6 event on 20 October. The "CEONSS captain" will be Fors, and the "OMNI captain" will be Mailbox (unless someone over on the OMNI side would like to do so). I put the server captain in quotes because we'll be picking 2-3 players from each server to play for the other server's team to mediate ping advantage (so us NA-based players don't get curbstomped

).

In other news, Fors and I are working on getting maps chosen at the moment. The current selections are as follows:

I haven't posted it here, but a draft of the rules is here:

in-game rules will be stock CEONSS rules, with 20 minute rounds. Pre-OT core explosion gets 2 points, OT core explosion gets 1 point.

Overall match rules will be 6 maps, distributed in the following format:

Map 1: Showcase Map (Not scored)
Map 2: CEONSS Map #1
Map 3: OMNI Map #1
Map 4: CEONSS Map #2
Map 5: OMNI Map #2
Map 6: Vanilla ONS Map

The Showcase map will be a new map that also serves as a buffer in case people show up late, and won't be scored.

We haven't discussed comms details much, but the CEONSS Discord is an option that can be used.
