I'm just curious,if it's allowed to lift vehicles like the Badger with the elevator,i.e.,does it count as a sort of map bug?
(note,this curiosity arose as soon as I read the rules)

Please advise,as I have a tendency to camp with the Badger cannon up there,and I sort of wish to stop doing so,as it degenerates skill.

Hello Infernal.

The Elevator may not trigger on vehicles. So you could trigger it with a teammate who is stepping in the midle.
To a general rule, if you can bring the vehicle up there it's fine (as long you play bye the rules). On a site note, you can also use the "stunt vehicle stuff" like holding crouch and drive on a wall. Well basicly it's a combination from crouch, jump and the movement keys.

*gives motherly glare* Those elevators are meant for the elderly! How dare you park a vehicle on them and block them!

Nah, go ahead. Like Miau said, you will probably need a team mate. Elevators on a lot of maps in UT2004 seem to struggle with lifting vehicles. Just don't get out yourself, or you might get lifted without your vehicle.
