True, by the incredible amount of 2 (28 -> 30), really shocking ;) There appeared several complaints about maps' monotony, so... this was about trying to prevent that.

Yeps, we've had plenty of lag complaints on it. Also, Dreamus is asymmetric, has insufficient weapon lockers (esp. some shock rifles are missing at base lockers), tanks' manoeuvrabilities are below average and the Mantas seem to serve almost nothing but annoyance by just laming around with 'em.

In some maps the only way to win is camping and spawnkilling. While these are prohibited by the server rules, many people do them, because why not? The map doesn't offer any other kind of way to win.
Actually I'm talking about that BitchSlap and the TripleSlap maps, but there are more of them which fall to this category. I think these maps aren't ONS maps really. They are very badly designed, lots of nodes are located too close to each other and some of them can be captured only by spawnkilling. While this may sound a whining from a player for you, I think some people think the same. I think people come to this server to play ONS, not spammy TDM.
I'm not saying to remove these maps, because of me. I'm not going to play on these maps, because I think they are the puke of the maps, but I think you should think about these maps. :)
Partly, I have to agree. Unfortunately, we're keeping some of our currently available maps just for historical reasons. They've always been there, you know, long before our standards evolved. Nonetheless, promised, we'll review them thoroughly, as soon as all of those newly suggested maps have been vetted. However, step by step, please, it'll take some time ;-)

-Dreamus was removed, because many ppl considered that map unplayable.
-Afaik that's a bug.
-I don't know, but I'm glad that it's gone. :P
-Sektor 9 is supposed to be available.

Hey folks. Regarding the content changes questions, Dreamus2 was pulled more than 2 months ago for maintenance/improvement reasons that I briefly talked about before here; it's definitely not considered an unplayable map though, or even a bad one. Regarding the Sektor maps now, S9 has only ever been brought back as a zombie map (as per the posted ZM schedule) rather than a full-on roster addition due to its problematic elements' mix (constrictive geometry and too many nodes turning gameplay into a constant spawn-spam-die mess; vortex gun and its numerous file dependencies don't do it any favours either). In terms of a more long-term presence, Sektor8 is the one we've been focusing on, and I expect an upgraded version featuring a slightly adjusted vec loadout that will strike a better playstyle balance will appear within the year too. Also, EvenMatch has been part of an operational problem we've encountered lately, so we've been looking into it a bit more closely because of that; we'll be sure to let everyone know what the plan is once we grok the full picture re: viable options ourselves though :). Other than that, umm, standard/analog voting has been in place all through April, IIRC, so that observation's kinda belated at this point :/. Cat or Heinz should be able to tell you more on that though.

When I played on Dreamus all of the players wanted to play on another map, because there are difficulties in finding some of the nodes (some of them are situated in rather high locations) I hope I don't mix it up with another map.

Just to expand slightly upon Peg's post,

Sektor9 is due to run between 1st - 8th April and 29th April - 6th May as you can see in the link Peg provided.

The quick round setting was lowed to 1 minute due to a possible issue with some of our maps. It'll be raised back up as soon as possible.

The voting system was changed from Accumulation Mode to the standard single vote before the change over. This is the first time anyone as mentioned it as far as I know. It seems to be working rather well as it stands as the map votes have been nice and varied. I'm inclined to leave it as it is unless anyone can make a convincing argument for it to be changed.

I wish to be peg in this moment

Ok, let me say it, I liked the Accumulation Mode because I was used to not vote as far as I was liking the most voted maps. I was using my accumulated votes then to vote a not-often-played map, such as dinora for example
