Hi guys

I'd like to ask a couple of questions on some things I don't understand with the bots on this server. I tried to look for infos about them with the search options without success.


1) What's their level of AI? Not Godlike I suppose?

2) When I play with or against them, they seem to be pretty lame. Is there a particular reason for it?


I have the strong feeling that I'm making a very big noob question... But that's what I am, so... "^^

True. The bots skill level is too low, it's easy to kill them.
And there are some maps, where there are no bot paths, so they can't do anything

They were "average".

The reason is we are a newbie-friendly server. Bots' skill level set too high would scare off beginners.
We once had the skill level at "adept" but only back when the server was hosted on Windows-machines. Surprisingly, bots seemed significantly smarter on Linux-servers, that's why their skill level had to be lowered. Somehow I got the feeling kinda everything seems to be smarter on Linux
Anyway, I've set bots to "experienced" now. Hope you're feeling more challenged with this

"Some"? IIRC, it's only ONS-Desertification-Beta2. I would have liked having this shortcoming fixed before putting online, unfortunately though, there was no mapper available. Which other maps don't have bot paths?
