[Aircraft] Draco

I've just posted a first release candidate of the Draco aircraft over at the Omni forums. Feel free to give it a test run and let me hear your opinions, suggestions and criticism. The download includes a mutator that replaces all Cicadas in a map with the Draco.

As a reminder from the WIP thread:

"Draco" is the latin word for dragon - and this one breathes fire! The pilot not only has control over a very agile aircraft, but also over the flame thrower and Cicada-style decoys. Additionally the Draco provides seats for two additional players who get to fire napalm rockets from the side turrets. These fly straight ahead and release globs of sticky burning napalm on impact - very unhealthy if stepped into or stuck to the vehicle you're sitting in. ;)

[edit]
Changes from RC1: Fixed 1st person view and turret fire direction limits.
Changes from RC2: Fixed potential HitWall infinite recursion crash and clientside rocket orientation issue.
Changes from RC3: various AI improvements

I'd like to download it and give it a try, but it seems that I can't get it without an account on the omni forum.
Could you please post it here too? :)

Oh, didn't know that. Attached to the first post here as well.

Ok, i tried it, and like it, it can be a pain in the ass especially with 3 people and when it can sneak up on you, those napalm or whatever rockets are nasty, but it's not OP, the hp seems ok, avril fire is useless against it, but the good old shockrifle will do the trick :D so 5/5

Good to hear. I had to update it, though. Pilot's 1st person view was messed up and the limitations for possible rocket fire directions were too strict.

Had to update it again, due to stability issues and clientside visual glitches.

Probably the final update, this time with some AI improvements.

I assume, if we'd use the mutator from your first post on the server, any Cicada would be replaced by the Draco on any map, right?
So, if we want to check it out online on just one known map as suggested, this map (MasterBath? MasterShower? Kakmo?) has to be edited first?
If so, would somebody please do it (sorry, I'm not a mapper :/)?

Umm, if you're looking to include a custom vec in a single map, there's no point involving mutators; it can just be done by replacing one vehiclefactory type with another in the usual ways. If you're looking for a vec replacing solution that will work across maps, there's no point doing specific map editing; for something like that you'll need a mutator or serveractor, and also to make sure the solution doesn't de-whitelist the server. Explaining this in case someone gets the wrong idea and tries to stick the mutator in some map thinking that's what's needed.

Also, Kakmo would be the ideal map to place n' test the Draco if you're aiming to sabotage any usefulness it might have, not to mention any potential popularity with players after they try it. This thing is not built to survive maps with open horizons and long distances.

Agree with pegasus, kakmo is impossible, the draco is not fast enough for this big map, and reduced radius of action.
The replacement on a map take less than thirty minutes, remains to know which card it is possible, or replace a raptor, or simply add.. (there's other maps , echo, jungle hill ..all the maps whith flyer and no big horizon)
