Hi everyone,
I thought it's about time I joined the forum and said hello.
Currently I'm based in the UK. I started playing FPS games back in 1994...DOOM with 2 PCs and a null modem cable! I was never very good, but liked playing togther as a team. Then I played Duke Nuke Em in the same way. When UT came out it was fantastic and quickly became the game of choice. Technology moved on and got cheaper and we could finally have LAN parties etc and have team deathmatch battles. Then UT 2K4 came out with ONS mode, along with decent internet speeds and you could be playing against people from all over the world. I started playing UT 2K4 as soon as it came out...downloaded the Torlan demo and eventually got a 5 CD pack of the full game. It was outstanding! I could not wait for UT3 to be released, but quickly found it was a total pile of sheisse...the writers must have been smoking something bad when they made it. So here we are 8 years on and UT 2K4 is still the game to beat. The graphics are still pretty good, you can play it on old hardware, so great for having LAN parties at home with all your old kit. Plus, the team play with ONS is something you just don't get in other games.
I stopped playing computer games from 2006 till about 2010, so I got pretty rusty. Then I started a new job where I was working away from home during the week. There wasn't much to do, so I fired up the PC and began playing UT2K4 again. I was a member of iTS, but sadly it is now defunct. CEONSS is about the only server I can get where there are a reasonable number of people playing and the ping is not too bad. Sometimes I have big lag problems, especially when there are many people playing on one map. My PC is not great, my reactions are not the best and the lag makes it hard for me to be accurate, but I enjoy helping others, repairing their vehicles, flying as wingman to Ciccadas, operating the second gun in tanks etc...working as a team, making sure even locked nodes are repaired and defending exposed nodes etc. In some maps I do ok, others I really struggle with. On some maps I probably kill myself more than other people, especially on maps where you can fall off the edge!
So a big thanks to the people at CEONSS for keeping this game alive and running a great server.
See you all online!

Thanks for the welcome guys.
Forgot to mention, I'm not the best driver in the world, especially after a couple of beers! So if you ride in my vehicle, you might want to do the driving
