Thrilled to have this new input option.... and so democratic, too! :D

I just have one question: I really like Rail and would like to make a poll for it to get it back (for a week), but Cat has mentioned in-game that Rail was too laggy. So my questions is: Is it possible to get Rail back? If the map is simply too laggy, I'm not going to put it up for a vote here.

I'd put a vote in for Rail if it's possible to have it. Makes my eyes hurt, but it's a good map.

Yes, indeed, Rail feels very "laggy", probably due to massive framerate drops.

Another, probably the bigger problem is its quasi-linear node layout: you don't have meaningful choices on it other than DM-ing. In fact, it's just another "DM-map in ONS-clothes". Also, the accessibility of the secondary nodes is rather mediocre, hence, the typical gameplay on Rail is that it takes about 2 or 3 minutes for one team to get the opponents' secondaries. The rest of the match is just an endless stalemate between primaries and secondaries, you'll hardly ever see a comeback, unless the defending team gets reinforced massively by joining / leaving / switching - of course, only to have the same deadlock on the other side soon ;)

Look, we do have valid reasons why we've sorted out several maps. It's not about removing somebody's fav map, but about trying to provide solid ONS. Thus, if for nothing else, the option to poll for substandard, zombie-maps like Rail or Spambox is at least just fine for anyone to verify our doubts and reservations and, perhaps, to cease glorifying the zombies ;)

I've only played it a few times 2 years ago and not with many players (instead with confused bots who couldn't handle the doors). So thank you for elaborating. In my (a bit dim) recall of it, it was a nice map, but I see now why this map is problematic, especially with many players. I won't put it up for a vote, then.
