Let's hear what other players have to say about the changes in Barracks and if people indeed keep bringing power vehicles to camp to the center node or not.

Or have you witnessed people still camping despite the recent changes?


I am unsure which version of TripleSlap you are referring to (or at least comparing to). As far as I know we always had RC2 on the server.
More recently, we have had SP1 which adds a PhysicsVolume dealing 5 hp worth of damage on whoever is in the roof area. A decent tradeoff for camping there I think?

If you have not played this version, try it at least (offline if you want) and feel free to post a message with any change you'd like so we can discuss them.

I know, it's confusing. We now both have our own RC2 version of THI-TripleSlap and things are bound to get confusing until one party decides to rename their version to something slightly different for disambiguation's sake.


For the record, this is DW's new ONS-THI-TripleSlap-RC2 as of April 29th or so:

Unfortunately, still no bio, gren.launcher or rockets, still not even a few health pickups anywhere, still front middle laser turret unfairness in regard to spawnkilling tanks from across the map, still one of the 4 roof manta jumping st.mesh blocks is slightly misaligned and ppl can crouch all the way around to spam the spawning tank below (although with the roof lowered, it's not as much of a prob now) and still the same boring lighting. All that aside, it's the best TripSlap improvement I've seen in a while.

I don't know is it only with this version, but the bots are having problem with nod 3. they don't know how to destroy it

May I ask which map you are referring to (since several have been mentioned here)? Since you posted after Pegasus I would suppose it is this new TripleSlap RC2?

It is actually a good thing you mention it, it can help laboRHeinz to decide if it is worth uploading it or not and also help if someone wants to take a look to fix some other issues and look at this one at the same time :D .

I've checked other versions too, same on all THI maps(have 3 i think), the bots are walking around like they are lost, or stare down till someone kills them

Hmm, I have a feeling this happens because the node sphere (the circle above a node) is not accessible (since it goes in the roof).

I believe this since I witnessed a bot going to the node, walking on it to start and then staying in a similar way as the bot is in your screenshot (stay in the middle of it). And then once the node was built he started to walk again.

And usually bots try to interact on the node sphere (when they link to build or shoot at it).


Also, I don't see anything in the bot pathing that would make me think it is an issue with that.


I suppose this could be solved by using Wormbo's OnslaughtSpecials since you can define a custom node height for a node sphere. Would need a bit of work though so perhaps it could be done next time there are other things to revise on the map?
