Ooohh, that looks nice! If I don't like the new UT, I will definitely get that one (or just get both :D).

Looks cool. The text pretty much covered everything why I dislike other fps than UT :)

This looks great, I can definitely see a Halo influence there, UT also. There's lots of potential and it will be interesting to see what game modes they include, and how much they give the community in terms of modding. Being a PC exclusive is always a plus in my opinion.

I might pre-purchase this and get into the beta, Q4 2014 .

Nice find Gloups!

I've browsed through their website and forums but there's no official requirements. The game is using Unreal Engine 3 so there's something to go off. I guess if you can run games which use UE3 with no problems you're all set.

Hmm. Arena FPS with UT mechanics (lifted almost wholesale), Halo aesthetics (like Funky also noticed) and employing nostagia-based promotional phrasing that seems to be targeting an older demographic disenfranchised with many of the industry's recent gameplay/monetization attempts. I kinda get why they're going for that angle, and being right smack in the middle of that demo myself, I can't help but consider their desire to reboot/revive the arena FPS genre understandable and worthwhile. Still, this isn't 1999 or 2004 anymore, and with the technological and game design innovations that an extra decade of collective experiences affords new game devs, it's kinda troubling that the only thing different from last decade's UT games I could spot about this project is its graphical quality. Well, there is that minor deal with XP pts being awarded for frags going on, despite the big "NO LEVELING" line shown in the middle of that same trailer, but that's pretty much it. It's kinda obvious that employing newer game engines would allow creators today to leverage more convincing/photorealistic visuals in lighting, effects and models, but beyond that, Toxikk doesn't seem to've bothered bringing anything actually new to the table in terms of gameplay, and IMO just wanting to recreate/repackage and resell our arena FPS gaming nostalgia back to us, only slightly better looking, is kinda concerning. Not to mention that even the game's own title doesn't exactly evoke the best of portents: it's rare that a studio would want their game to be associated with the term "toxic" nowadays. Still, just thinking out loud here based on the scant bit of info this trailer could provide; hopefully my skepticism will prove to have been unfounded.

Btw, in case you had such an impression, this project isn't exactly unique as far as recent attempts to cater (more) to fans of this old genre go either. The more time passes, the more it seems the industry is getting over its love affair with cover-based mechanics ever since Gears of War made a trend out of that back in '07 (thanks, CliffyB :/), and over the past few years increased mobility (laterally and vertically) in FPSes, as well as several other more arena FPS-centric design choices seem to've made a resurgence, both in the AAA space, as well as with indie titles.
On the big(ger) budget side of things, earlier on things started moving again with Tribes: Ascend's fast moving/skiing and hitscanning CTF action, as well as the pair of mech dueling-themed FPSes, MechWarrior Online n' (UE3-based) Hawken, for even major publishers and console manufacturers to later also start betting big on such elements with Ubisoft-backed Shootmania Storm (2012 E3 trailer here, although little has been heard of it since), Microsoft-subsidized Titanfall trying to make the XBone a bit more palatable through its exclusivity (using jetpacks as an in-lore excuse for wallriding and higher-jumping mobility; also landed with a thud instead of a splash), Epic trying to revive its own vaunted UT franchise through this most recent - and kinda backwards - crowd-sourced, marketplace-oriented attempt, and now Activision deciding that it's time for its upcoming CoD, Advanced Warfare, to employ some faster n' higher-moving gameplay too; seriously, take a look at this and then try telling me with a straight face how their Exo suits are "reinventing" player mobility through 10+-year-old mechanics. Overall, it seems cover mechanics are starting to lose their luster when compared side by side with traditional arena FPS movesets in terms of sheer fun gameplay, and I can't say I'm miffed by that even a tiny bit :).
Indies and other more low key efforts, too, have been trying to jumpstart the old genre again ever since UT3 gave up the ghost. From id's Quake Live in 2010, to Xonotic (2011), to the late THQ's Nexuiz a couple o' years ago, to CliffyB's announced return to the industry with his own studio's new game, Project Bluestreak, last year, to Project Nex getting greenlit a few months back, to Toxikk and, hell, just last week, Aussie-based Turbo Pixel launching a kickstarter for their own, Quake-moveset/Portal-aesthetics arena FPS game, Reflex ...well, just listing all this is starting to make me think the arena FPS never actually went away; it probably just laid low for awhile to lick its wounds during Gears' meteoric rise and its accompanying obsession for chest-high wall hugging.

Anywho, kinda gotten into another retrospective rant here, and I don't want to come across as cynical or curmudgeonly either simply because the launch trailer for another arena FPS shooter didn't include any groundbreaking gameplay departures from a working recipe, so let's just wait n' see what kinda niche it'll manage to carve for itself, I suppose. Like others said, good find, GLoups !

It seems interesting indeed... But it also seems to me that they are marketing it by starting from what it DOESN'T have, instead of what it DOES have.

If it is just a "new-gen graphic" version of UT2004 (as they seem to emphasize their product in this trailer), I don't think that I'll ever be interested in it. I'd rather keep playing UT2004 until it runs out of servers/players.

But, I will monitor the advancement of this project, for sure. Thanks at GLoups for the info :)
