Session banned.

Session banned again?
I was in spec flying around the map while chatting with hyd waiting for other players. It was just me and hyd. I only paused long enough to reply to hyd. There was not a game in progress. Vril entered and a couple of seconds later I got session banned with the message, "An admin has session banned you for the rest of the map", or something like that. I forgot to do a screenshot before closing the message. I looked at the console and Hyden was the only one on the map. I don't know if Vril got kicked as well or if he left on his own. This happened around 5:30PM CST. I am reporting this because the message is very specific in saying that an admin invoked the session ban and I don't know if this same message is generated from an auto ban. I belive that when you idle the message reads that you were kicked for idling. Maybe there is only a certain amount of time that you can be in spec on an idle map? I don't know. Looks like those auto session bans that happen on an almost empty server once in a while. I remember this phenomenon already in my time 2009-14. Wasn't really reproduceable though, so I couldn't solve it then and, IIRC, I never told Cat or Ema about it

Thanks for the reply lab. I'm just glad that there isn't a rogue admin having some fun. It has happened several times before and I find it odd that the message is specific about an admin doing the deed. Anyway, I won't report it again now that I know it's a bug.

The times I've gotten kicked out of my own server...are way too high.

I think the server does not auto kick you if you are logged in as an admin via the server console. However, the danger there is that you might accidentally force a map when trying to vote for the next one and forgetting that you are logged in.

It will kick the logged in admin as well. =D
