TankMeUp somebody?
Well, I know that the map was removed from CEONSS, but could somebody that still has it upload it to Mediafire or Dropbox so I can download it? Or tell me about a server that still plays it? I would like to try all the tanks in one map, such as the BioTank. Yeah, the map is considered to be a golden opportunity for campers and stuff like that, but I'd like to try it offline at least one last time. Please?

Here's a couple of old versions in this map pack

Thanks!! But Evo version isn't included...
Not that I complain, but it's the only version I've ever played. Does someone else has it?

Maybe this one?
You can find quiet a few maps here if it's not the right version. You'll need UT2004Mi to unpack the files.

Anyway, it isn't the one I was looking for. Which one was the one so dark and with so much fog?
Just to make sure I got this right, you started a thread asking for people to provide you with with a map whose specifics you won't even include besides a commonly used version tag (4 different maps have received numerous TankMeUp "treatments"; Minus, Nevermore, Dria and Grit/GritNights) and under the erroneous assumption that that's the only one(s) containing the custom content you wanna try offline (they're not; MagicIsle, StarReach and a few other maps the server hosts contain the biotank, same for the firetank), then when someone correctly guessed the name and provided relevant results you're disappointed that it wasn't the exact version you were thinking of, a version that CEONSS has never hosted I might add (ONS-MinusTankMeUp-EVO-RC6 and ONS-MinusTankMeUp-)o(-Evo-V14 have only ever been hosted at Omni... obviously), and when you finally do get the service you were asking for, you still opt for a teenage tantrum reaction because you can't be bothered to launch the game directly through the map, which would generate the missing .ucl file for you?
As a piece of friendly advice, might I recommend slightly adjusting your attitude and expectations towards not presuming in the future that others here are mind readers at your unfaltering service? it could just make your interpersonal experiences here a bit more harmonious.
Oh, and welcome to the msg. board.
PS: The map you're describing sounds like ONS-MinusTankMeUp-Nightwolf-Rc7, but that one doesn't include biotanks (ONS-MinusTankMeUp-Nightwolf-2013-Beta7 doesn't have fog).

Pegasus, I'm afraid I didn't fully understand your post. I didn't by any means want to sound rude and overconfident. If I did I'm sorry, that was not my intention. I just asked somebody to provide me for a map I'm sure as hell was played on CEONSS two years ago(in fact, I think that it was the very first map I ever played). Cat had no obligation to answer my post. He could just have ignore it and let someone make the dirty job for him if he considered I was sounding rude (what in fact I think is what he did, otherwise he went to bed or something, correct me if I'm wrong).Pegasus wrote:Hey there, Degrek Phantoka.Degrek Phantoka wrote:You forgot to pass the .ucl file! Didn't know that part. Thanks for the advice. I repeat that there are still things of UT2004 that I have to learn (EDIT: some way or another when I did that the game didn't launch. Dusty computers, y'know).you still opt for a teenage tantrum reaction because you can't be bothered to launch the game directly through the map, which would generate the missing .ucl file for you?
Sorry again, I just found out while checking ingame that it was Nightwolf's version. Completeley my fault. I confused because the preview image showed it at sunset. Bug?
As for the map, I always speak of Minus as TankMeUp.
I apologize to you two again, I should have checked it more carefully

Re: TankMeUp somebody?
While it's true that ONS-MinusTankMeUp-Nightwolf-Rc7 had indeed been hosted on CEONSS for a long while, the map didn't conform to the other criteria you were drip-feeding us (an EVO version, biotank inclusion, etc.), so hopefully you can see how confusing could arise from that.Degrek Phantoka wrote:Pegasus, I'm afraid I didn't fully understand your post. If you're trying to launch the game directly off of a map and instead of loading, it throws an error window, that's a telltale sign that the map requires some additional resource files that you haven't supplied the game with. Since the error window itself isn't informative of that, finding out what exact file you're missing can be achieved through numerous ways. Among the more practical ones would be to keep around and use P-Fat's UTDeps handy program that would let you know all the files you're missing in one convenient list. You can derive the same info without the help any 3rd party tools too, but in a more time-consuming manner, by loading up any [stock, working] map, pulling down the console once loaded (using the '~' key) and inputting the command open <full path to map's filename here> (if you've placed the map in UT's Maps subfolder, you'll only need to use the filename). If the game doesn't automatically begin loading the desired map, pay attention to what missing resource the mid-screen text will indicate, and proceed to find that file. In ONS-MinusTankMeUp-Nightwolf-Rc7's case, my guess is that the most likely reason it won't load for you is because you're missing PPCTank.u. Fish that from your cache (tools to do just that are also mentioned in the previously linked to post), place it to your System subfolder, and the map should load.Degrek Phantoka wrote:[...]Didn't know that part. It's okay, don't worry 'bout it. Regarding the preview pic, it can be typical of map editors to expend hundreds of hours producing new edits of older maps and still forget to revise that part, so no, I wouldn't describe that as a bug - more like an omission. In any case, it's a prudent course of action to not place too much faith in such pics when trying to get a sense of what a specific edit might include.Degrek Phantoka wrote:[...]Sorry again, I just found out while checking ingame that it was Nightwolf's version. Umm, that might be liable to create additional miscommunication for you down the road for reasons mentioned earlierDegrek Phantoka wrote:[...]As for the map, I always speak of Minus as TankMeUp.[...]

It's okay, and you're welcome. Enjoy your stay ingame and on the msg. board, and let us know of any [constructive] feedback you might have on the hosted content. See ya around.Degrek Phantoka wrote:[...]I apologize to you two again, I should have checked it more carefully. And thanks!

Re: TankMeUp somebody?
Confusion arose because I saw a Bio Tank pic on OONS that I recognized as Minus: oons.wikidot.com/bio-tank . The wiki states that it's available either on Gorz or Evo, and somewhere I read that Evo was the dark one, so you can see where my mistake came from.Pegasus wrote:While it's true that ONS-MinusTankMeUp-Nightwolf-Rc7 had indeed been hosted on CEONSS for a long while, the map didn't conform to the other criteria you were drip-feeding us (an EVO version, biotank inclusion, etc.), so hopefully you can see how confusing could arise from that.
P.D: That page is pretty outdated. Is there anywhere else where I can read about "new" vehicles such as the PPC Tank, the Huricane, the Alligator, etc.?
