Farewell!

Hey guys,

I am about to embark on a journey to the furthest reaches of Asia that will take me far from the realm of stable, suitable internet. I have finished my bachelors degree and am now entering another phase of life which will have me dragged, kicking and screaming, away from UT and the awesome CEONSS community for the foreseeable future. I'll be leaving on the 6th of August so the 4th will be my last UT session.

So, thanks to Cat and the Admin squad for all the effort and unimaginable hours they already have and continue to put into CEONSS. Cat puts a lot of his own money into running this operation and I think we should send him a thank you donation for putting up with a sorry bunch like us Similarly, thanks to all the people who work behind the scenes including Pegasus (who i've played against) and Heinz (who i haven't) who have built up CEONSS over the years and I'm sure continue to put hours into helping it grow even now. Lastly, thanks to the TS crowd and to the great 'in-game chatters' (honorable mentions go to Hyden and Sorcery) as well as all the players who i've enjoyed many great duels with. I will miss you crazy kids (who are all older than me ).



Best of luck with your future endeavours peeps and enjoy your lives.

tl;dr I leave cause I move away. No sex joke included which is a disappointment I'm sure as it has come to be expected of me.

That just makes me plain sad mate. It's a pity I have just recently returned to UT after a being away for a few months. Haven't been able to talk to you a lot lately because of that (whilst we used to Skype multiple times a week). Just wanted to say that the fun playing UT always doubled the moment you came online, you're a great sympathatic lad and always a good laugh.

I really hope you can come back to Europe soon, be it either through a master study in Germany (or Netherlands!? We have a great faculty of mathematics here in Delft ), or through a job. Either way, I wish you all the best in your homeland and lets try to keep contact every now and then!

Gaffy, you've become a great friend to me over the past few months. I'm sad to see you go. Take care of yourself and like Steiny I hope that you'll be able to return to Europe soon! Don't be a stranger! And when you are back in Europe...you know where to find us!

Thanks Stein. you were sorely missed in your absence and i'm happy to see you back on the servers more often these days as it's a lot more fun with players as strong as you around!
As for leaving: It sucks, but hopefully it'll allow me to build a career which can bring me back to either Europe or America sooner rather than later. I'll definitely look into the dutch uni's as well, with the hope of one day smok*cough* -hanging out with you while tearing up UT servers!

Also, thank you Ema i'll make sure to join early on tuesday night to have a last blast with beers and tears (not really) but definitely have a great game!

first congrats to your Bachelor!
Every game with you is marvellous.
Hope you can finde some Bytes for the Forum or TS in Asia.
If not, someone must hack the Molniya satellites to give you the connection speed that you deserve.

Hey Miauz, thanks man it means a lot. I'll definitely still be around on the forum and perhaps even the TS on occasion. Really happy to see more people joining the TS and I would encourage you to join it more often as well, because we have an awesome time there! While i'm gone I might have to exchange my headshots for some work experience, but we'll see how that goes I gotta say that you've been hitting those shock combos really well recently and are becoming a real tough duelist Best of wishes to you as well mate and good luck!

Now that I am escaping your tyrannous rule I shall come forth and declare "He lies! For while my body may have been crushed by his multitude of mechanical monstrosities, my shield gun and lightening gun alike made him weak in the knees!" To be fair, we both had our days (but i shall forever maintain, probably wrongly, that I had more ).
Thanks Cat, your a boss in all meanings of the term and i've knowing you immensely. I don't think you get anywhere near the appreciation that you deserve from us but I hope you know that the server, forum and community that are gathered here are really dear to all of us and for that I sincerely thank you. People are quick to complain, but slow to appreciate and through that you have stuck with it, so in my eyes you are less a cat and more a lion (<-- the corniest line i've ever written, but as you said *sloppy man love*. In case of barfing sensation arising, please read aforementioned sentence as "you're a legend mate"). Best wishes to you and your family!
