Map repeat rate

How long before maps become available to vote for, also known as the Map Repeat Rate or Repeat Limit - is a setting that almost every server that has map voting enabled makes use of. The idea is simply to stop people voting for the same map over and over again. It is also used on servers such as ours with a very large number of custom maps to stop the same "type" of map being voted for repeatedly or the ultra-popular ones being played too often.
We started from an all time low of 20 and have been increasing it every time a popular map has been added to the roster with the aim of getting it up to 30 while keeping a cap on the overall number of maps, however many people have asked for it to be lowered so they have a better chance of playing their favourite map(s).
Personally i think this is a really bad idea for the reasons mentioned above, but it probably won't do too much harm just to try it for a bit. It was lowed down to 20 over the weekend as requested and will stay there for the next 6 weeks (till the 26th February) so we can all get a good idea of what affect it has.
-----------
If you want it to stay at 20 you're going to need to make a good argument for it, the majority of people voting for 20 in the poll and at least 25 people voting in total. So try and get people from the server onto the forum and voting
