Nice Joe! How does it drive? That engine should give quite some power :)

You still have the Dodge Challenger?

Stein

It drives very very well for a four wheel drive type vehicle that weighs 5200 pounds. The tires are Z speed rated Pirellis run flats. 295/45/20. So it has alot of tire. it is based on the Mercedes-Benz's W166 series chassis so it has a nice independent suspension set up. It is a fairly tall vehicle and the tires are more than 30 inches tall. its rated at .90 g.

The All wheel drive system has a knob with "sport" and "track" settings that I have not tried yet. it is supposed to firm up the suspension in these settings and either reduce or turn off the traction control and other computer asists. I would assume it firms up the shock valve settings.

The Jeep is quite powerful it is the same Hemi motor that is in my Challenger. But the weight and the AWD drive it is not that quick at highway speeds I think. it has a launch control button I need to try out. it allows the motor to RPM up with your foot on the brake and go full throttle when you release it. Powerbraking is what drag racers call it. it has an 8 speed automatic I like so far. I have not tried the paddle shifters on it.

I am not that impressed with the brakes. The fronts are 15" ,380 mm, disc and I think its has Brembo 6 pot calipers. Thats larger then my Challenger but it does not stop nearly as good. I found that out yesterday 100 mph to 0 was not that great! I might try new brake pads and bed the brakes in properly to see if that helps any. My Challenger has great brakes and will put you into the windshield at 30 mph and below and stop very well at the high speeds. It weighs 4000 pounds.

Im happy enough with it and its a car my wife can drive very easy too.

I might sell the Challenger to you! it would look great in Europe!
