Thanks, Daly!
Did I get it right that you see jumppads mostly as a way to get to nodes fast while on-foot? What about more roofs linked by jumppads and more ground-level horizontal jumppads for bigger ground-level maneuverability?

Yeah, generally I see jumppads as having three purposes in ONS maps: 1) to help foot soldiers quickly traverse large maps; 2) to help them avoid areas with heavy vehicle action/traffic (otherwise certain death) or at least to move them to areas with less vehicles than usual. It helps a team with little vehicles (i.e. the losing one) to be able to reach their nodes at around the same speed as if they had a vehicles. 3) The usual: to traverse vertically more easily.

I think more roofs that are close to nodes could be linked, but a point: probably only the primaries. When you have those I imagine you have enough vehicles to make a good fight on the mid-nodes. Of course, you'll need to make the jumppads more visible to players so they know they're there. Although, dunno if this would happen in practice, it may encourage people to camp on the rooftops and just shoot tanks all day but I suppose they'd lose if they did that.

If you are worried about rooftop campers, I suggest limiting the ammo in the nearest weapon lockers and not providing a way back down from the roof. That way campers will run out of ammo and won't be able to simply grab new ammo and come back.

As far as I've seen, the roof camping (as well as other kinds of camping) is not something you do because you have a possibility to. There are Bender-campers on a very small and intense Bitchslap as well as on the larger Kingdom. I guess that's something inside of peoples' heads...
I am almost certain that there WILL be a lot of camping if the roofs with lean-to nodes will be connected (so you can just blindly spam flacks down, probably even without direct sight of target). I guess there will be some camping if multiple nodes are attackable from the roof (so you can stay there and spam link on at least one open node at time). Still, if it happens, I'd rather add some counter to them (Draco, as Cat proposed; or some killer-triggers; or add some difficulties to being on roofs) than remove this feature.

The image I see is having roofs as a fast on-foot road to majority of nodes, with some useful items on roofs (idk what exactly - pickups, camp points, etc.) and some dangers involved (metal bridges on low level so walkers can be shot; or multiple entry points to one roof so camping can't be secure). But those "soft squishy creatures (C)" can act very inpredictable, so I have to think about very many aspects of this idea before trying to implement it.

I think just some more time playing it on the server for now to get used to all the changes so far - it can take a while for imbalances to show up. I like that pedestrians can do more now, while keeping it mostly a tank-centric map. Plus the link tank is always welcome (I was expecting to see more Mino-Link Tank convoys as that should be a killer combination but haven't really seen much of that happening)

I can't remember if was meant to do this this weekend or last Mani, sorry, but here are all the chat logs I can find.

Overall people really like it (other then the usual lot ofc). The only constructive comments I can see are:

- More vehicles at cores.
- Making the jumpads more visible.
- Nexus lag.

Mentioned here:

- Directly linking nodes 1 and 8.
- A way down from the primary rooftops.
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 1:

All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.

Thanks for the logs... Why did you never mention how big pain in the ass active chat users are? :)
